Should I give tip to Packers Movers?
If you’ve hired a moving company, you would be looking for a safe and sound moving. There are many moments when you can feel relaxed about the move like all goods are safely delivered or the workers are behaving well. Well, on the other hand, you also have to decide whether to tip workers or not! As moving company is already charging for the relocation.
Giving tip is a generous act but why should pay extra if you’re paying for relocation? Here we are sharing when you should tip or when you not to. We are also sharing some suggestion related to the tip.
When should I?
Happy with the services of packers and movers, then go ahead to reward the moving team professionals. Well, they are getting paid for the work they did. But if you are still happy and feeling relaxed with the work, you can give from Rs. 100 to Rs. 500 (depending on the member count) to each of them.
It’s better not to tip to the moving supervisor, instead of that at the end of the unloading process, you can tip workers directly. Do not try to tip the company as they are charging you for the move. If the company ask for the same, just deny! On-Time delivery of goods also allows you to tip.
Suggestions: If the hard work or efforts for moving is done more by stairs instead of the lift, you can provide a tip to workers. Efforts of moving unusual heavy items also make them eligible for a tip. Check all of your goods are delivered safely or not.
When not to?
Local moves are not eligible for a tip. But in case, you have lost or ended up with some broken items, we do not suggest to tip anybody! Instead of that, you can demand them for the things you’ve lost. An only good moving company will provide some money back on lost or broken items. Well, in that case, Moving Insurance will help you a lot to recover the money.
Sometimes, relocation ends up happy but the team members of moving company do not behave well. In such cases, they aren’t eligible for the tip. In short, if you are not feeling good about the moving experience, do not tip them.
Suggestion: If you’re not feeling good about the moving process, just don’t think about the tip! The company is hired to provide a spellbinding experience with safer goods delivery. So just drop the idea of the tip.
What’s better than a tip!
Giving refreshments is a better idea than giving a tip! Giving tip is not necessary but sharing some food and beverages can make the moving team members would be a generous act. You can also offer them for snacks like Samosa, Pizza or whatever you can afford to share with workers. If also the time extends, ask them for the lunch or dinner, according to the suitable time.
Suggestions: Carry some recyclable plates and cups for sharing food and beverages. It would also help you in the first week of moving. You don’t have to wash dishes and other utensils. Try to carry some chips and other snacks for the first week of the move.
